Celebrate

So I sat down with the intent of playing along with this week's Simon Say Wednesday Challenge.  The theme is "Let's Be Clear."  I always start a card with a little sketchy inspiration.   I checked out this week's Card Concept Challenge #14.  It's not a sketch challenge.  It's a color challenge,  but I love the color combo.   So then I made my way to the CASE Study  Challenge #199.  It's an inspiration sketch.....and inspire me it did!  The creative juices started flowing and I instantly thought of a way to combine ALL THREE of these challenges!

I cut 5 panels with a die from the MFT Die-namics Horizontal Stitched Strips from MFT smooth white, red hot, and blu raspberry CS.   I used some washi tape to secure them to  my craft sheet.  I used the MFT concentric circles stencil and some Wendy Vecchi translucent embossing paste.   There's my "clear" element for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

I stamped the sentiment from the Paper Smooches Bold Buzzwords stamp set in MFT black licorice ink and stamped some stars from the same set as well.

Here is the color challenge from the The Card Concept Challenge #14:
. I think my card is nice combo of the Clean & Layering Style and the Clean & Graphic style.  Agreed?

  5. My apologies if this is a duplicate...don't know what happened to the first try ???

WOW! This is sooooo cool! The embossed circles look like actual raindrops! The smattering of stars amidst the circles looks great - your placement is bang on perfect and creates an awesome balanced design! I agree - your card could fit into either one of the categories! Thanks so much for sharing your fabulous creation with us at the Card Concept Challenge )
