7 Kids College Fund Challenge - Hexagons

Ready for a new 7 Kids College Fund Challenge?

Alicia Loves Reading

Happy Friday!  I just LOVE coming home on Friday after a long week of work.  I am Clinical Social Worker at a psychiatric hospital.  By the time the work week comes to an end, I can't get home and into my crafting uniform (AKA fleece pajama bottoms and sweatshirt) fast enough!

Today I came home to message from Alicia Alva who recently opened a digital stamp shop called Alicia's Little Shop.  She asked me if I would be willing to make a card with one of her images to use as a sample to promote her digis.  They are super cute and looked fun to color so I was game.

Fleece pajama bottoms and sweatshirt - check!
Copics - check!
Glass of wine - check!
I am ready to color!

I chose to color up Alicia Loves Reading.

I colored the image with copics and fussy cut her out.  I decided to create a little room so I paired some PP from Authentique Thankful 6x6 paper pad with some Bazzill Card Shoppe candy bar and butter mints CS.  I popped her up with foam sqaures to add dimension.  The sentiment is from the MFT Clearly Sentimental about Books stamp set.

I have new stash of Tiddly Inks stamps thanks to my new friend Christy Croll who sent me a package of her adorable stamps!   I have always loved Christy's images, but I must admit.....I prefer to ink up my stamps as opposed to using digis.  So, I was thrilled when she began selling clear stamps! When brainstorming The Doxie with Moxie set, there was a lot of chatter about sentiments…and some of them took a turn for the funny, but…risqué, lol! We couldn’t live without them, so we decided to create the Size Matters set. It’s not for everyone, but it’s definitely funny!!

The Prettiest Donkey

Did you see that ridonkulously talented Christy Croll, owner and illustrator of Tiddly Inks Stamps,  drew a donkey inspired by your truly?!  Yep and it is a freebie over on the Tiddly Inks blog!  You can find it HERE!

If you don't already know, I love donkeys and I have been known to call people "donkey."  It is a term of endearment in my book.  Somehow this came back to bite me in the, ummmm, donkey because my nickname has become "Donkey" among some of my crafty friends.

Here's a little something I put together this morning before I head off to work:

I colored my image with copics and matted him with Bazzill Card Shoppe candy car CS.  The PP is from the My Mind's Eye "Dilly Dally" 6x6 paper pad.  I printed the sentiment from my computer and added some buttons and twine.  I am entering this in the Tiddly Inks Challenge #101.

Please pop on over to the Tiddly Inks Facebook page and tell Christy that Kim O'Connell sent you to say "Hello,Donkey!"  Be sure to like the Tiddly Inks page when you're there if you haven't already!

I will randomly choose someone from the Tiddly Inks FB page who has left this message for some surprise blog candy!  Winner will be chosen Sunday!    Good luck!

7 Kids Challenge - You Take the Cake

The newest challenge on the 7 Kids College Fund challenge blog is up and running!
The challenge is to use something old and something new from your stash!
Surely you've got a new stamp that you have yet to ink up, a new paper pad you didn't really need but bought anyway, or a new crafty tool that you've hidden from your husband (AKA "The Craft Budget Police").  Put it to good use and pair it up with some of that other crafty stuff you are hoarding and play along with us!

My "new" item is this pretty little image by Stamping Bella called Uptown Girl Ava Loves to Celebrate.  Everything else is from my stash which qualifies it as "old."

Head right on over to the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog to link up your creation for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the store!
